We invite all Penn Staters to join us for our first annual Dinner at 6:00 PM on Thursday March 8th at Capriz Restaurant (at Broadway at the Beach next to Wonderworks).
Tina Hay ’83, Editor of The Penn Stater, the bimonthly magazine for the 160,000 members of the Penn State Alumni Association will be our guest speaker. Tina will be telling us about our highly regarded alumni publication. Additionally, Tina was front and center during the Sandusky scandal that developed at our university last fall; as a reporter, she has been involved in all aspects of this scandal and is in a position to help us understand how it has and will impact the University and the Penn State family. The session will be interactive with questions and reactions encouraged.
Also joining us for dinner will be Ted Junker ’59, Trustee Emeritus and former Board President (1998 – 2000). Ted is active in the development efforts of Penn State, helping to lead three capital campaigns, and chairing various committees. He has served on the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Board since 2000. In 2007, he received the University’s Philanthropist of the Year award. Additionally, Ted was selected as one of five members of the first Board of Directors of the Big Ten Network, which was launched in 2007. In January 2011, Ted was selected to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award, the University’s highest award for an individual.
A reception period with a cash bar begins at 6:00 PM, with dinner to be served at 6:45. The cost is $20.00 per person for members, $25.00 per person for non-members. This includes your meal, non-alcoholic beverages and gratuity. Please RSVP by Saturday March 3rd to guarantee your seat.

We are planning a group outing to the Pelican’s 6/18 game vs. the Frederick Keys. It’s a Saturday game, first pitch @ 7:05
In order to get the group rate, we need at least 10 people to purchase tickets. Ticket price is $10/person, with any proceeds from the sales going to the general fund for the chapter, which will help pay for the summer picnic (more details to come on that).
If you’re interested in attending the game, please fill out the short form located @ http://www.psumyrtlebeach.com/pelicans
Payment for your tickets is due by 4/30 so that we have plenty of time to reserve the necessary amount of seats. We accept many forms of payment, which is also detailed on the form.
Hope to see everyone there!
Join us at Longbeard’s Bar & Grill for a meet and greet with other fellow PSU alumni in the Myrtle Beach area. Learn about the new chapter of the Alumni Association that has been formed, and what you can do to become involved.
